Woven Wire Mesh
- Pros: high open area, high screening efficiency, low cost, quick change (tensioned)
- Cons: wires wear and break fast, noisy, wet/sticky material blinds holes easily
- Best for: dry, fine, low-temperature applications on a tight budget; not for highly abrasive or wet-sticky feeds
Perforated Punch Plate
- Pros: rigid, impact-resistant, handles coarse/large feed
- Cons: heavy, lower open area, noisy
- Best for: coarse pre-screening, large lumps, impact load applications
Rubber Panel
- Pros: flexible, dampens vibration and noise, resists wet sticking, lasts 3–5× longer than steel wire
